The former Lake Texoma Resort and Park is easy for you to locate. It is now part of Pointe Vista but I'm not sure of any "official name" for this section of the large Pointe Vista project. It is just south of US Highway 70, 13 miles west of Durant, Oklahoma: only 85 miles from Dallas and 135 miles for Oklahoma City.  It is an easy drive on major highways.

If you are coming from the Dallas area on Highway 75, the route is:
Drive north on Highway 75. Exit at the Durant exit onto Highway 70, and drive west for 13 miles. Turn south at the new Pointe Vista billboard on the south side of highway 70.

If you are coming south from the Tulsa area on Highway 75, the route is:
Drive south on Highway 75. Exit at the Durant exit onto Highway 70, and drive west for 13 miles. Turn south at the new Pointe Vista billboard on the south side of highway 70.

If you are driving north on Interstate 35, the route is:
Exit onto highway 82 at Gainesville. Drive east on Highway 82 to Whitesboro. Exit Highway 82 here and go north on Highway 377. You will cross over Lake Texoma on the Willis Bridge and continue north on Highway 377. At the intersection of Highway 377 and Highway 32 turn right(there is a gas station on the NE corner of this intersection). Drive east on Highway 32 towards Kingston. Shortly after you cross the train tracks as you approach the edge of Kingston Highway 32 ends, veer right onto Highway 70 heading east. You will go through Kingston and continue east for 5 more miles on Highway 70 until you see the new Pointe Vista billboard on the south side of highway 70.

DETOUR!..... South Bound I-35..... DETOUR!

At the beginning of April 2010, I was told by numerous folks that travel this way quite a bit of a extreme highway bottleneck.
Please be aware that South Bound I-35 Exit 29/Hwy 70E is closed due to ODOT construction. No detour signs are present at this time.
This construction should last through the summer. Here is the best detour option:
- Take exit 31A to merge onto W Broadway ST/OK-199 E toward Ardmore.
- Turn right at S Commerce St.
- Turn left at US-70 E.
- Continue heading east towards Kingston & Lake Texoma.
- Travel thru Kingston for about another 5 miles before turning south at the big, new Pointe Vista billboard on the south side of highway 70.

If you are driving south on Interstate 35, the route is:
Take exit 29 onto Highway 70 at the southern outskirts of Ardmore. Drive east on Highway 70 through Madill and Kingston, and continue on for another 5 miles. Turn south at the new Pointe Vista billboard on the south side of highway 70.

Launching at Point Vista Resort

After turning at the Pointe Vista sign, follow the road between the lodge and the golf course (south). Stay on this main road as it winds past cabins on both side of the road. After about one mile, you will notice the snow cone stand on the right as well as a road to the right leading to the Gas Docks, Catfish Bay Guides and also the Cantina.

Pointe Vista Resort...............My launch site #1
DO NOT turn right towards the gas docks, Catina, etc. but continue about 100 feet and turn right just in front of the Bayview Lodge . Head down towards the boat ramp and park anywhere. I will pick you up at the small dock adjacent to the ramp.

Pointe Vista Resort...............My launch site #2
Continue straight ahead without turning and you will pass the Bayview Lodge on your right and after a couple hundred feet, you will enter the Catfish Bay campground. After a short distance, you will notice a large lighted restroom/bath facility on your left. Turning left on the paved road immediately in front of this building or the one 200 feet beyond it both lead to the ramp nearby. There is not any designated parking area, just find a spot off the road. I will be waiting to greet you next to the ramp. My white Wayne's Striper Guide Service van will already be parked there. There is NO lighting presently in this area, so a flashlight would make your walk to the ramp safer if we are meeting before daylight..

Pointe Vista Resort...............My launch site #3
After turning at the Pointe Vista sign, follow the road between the lodge and the golf course (south). Stay on this main road as it winds past cabins on both side of the road. After about one mile, you will notice the snow cone stand on the right as well as a road to the right leading to the Gas Docks, Catfish Bay Guides and also the Cantina.
Turn here for my Pointe Vista .........My launch site #3, continue about 300 feet PAST the gas docks , Catfish Bay Guides etc. to the boat ramp. I will be waiting there next to my beached boat.

I will go over the exact time and location of where we will meet well in advance of our fishing trip and answer any other questions you might have. An alternate location to the one above is sometimes necessary due to lake, weather or even fishing conditions.
